Alastair specialises in strategy, marketing and business planning for a range of private and public sector clients. Since becoming a consultant in 2001 he has led projects in areas such as sustainable farming and food, marketing strategy, direct selling, co-operation, livestock and red meat and potato marketing.

Previously Alastair held senior positions in the potato industry, where he worked for 20 years, gaining experience throughout the food chain from production to processing in technical, sales and marketing, general management and strategic roles. He became regional director of Anglian Produce Ltd in 1995, and of Greenvale AP plc in 1999, with responsibilities for processing, packing and trading activities.
